Press Play to hear Do Something, by Matthew West:
What’s in your heart? DO SOMETHING!
On June 10th 2014, Allan travelled to Haiti on an opportunity tour to see what projects needed the most attention. Allan has committed to raise funds before returning with a group, to help some of the many people in need. He has created “Friends of Haiti” in hopes that his goal can be surpassed so that many more people can benefit from the various planned projects. All donations will be made through Chalice and tax receipts are provided. US donations: cheques made out to Chalice Inc. and mailed to P.O. Box 846011 Boston, MA 02284-6011
Allan has partnered with Chalice Canada for this initiative as they have been supporting Haiti In many ways even before the earthquake hit. The Chalice Haiti South Sponsor Site, located in the town of Jeremie, is working to alleviate the crippling poverty that has gripped the area for so many years. The site is administered by the Good Shepard Sisters of Quebec, Canada and is comprised of five locations or Sub-Sites: Latiboliere, Roseau, Carrefour-Sanon, Previle, and Jeremie. *Click here for more information about Haiti South.
Have you wanted to sponsor a child and/or a project in a third world country, but you were not sure where the money goes and how it is really spent? The following are the main reasons for our decision to work with them:

Following the devastation of 2010 and a hurricane in 2011 many children and their families were left homeless or living in dangerous conditions. Using funds donated to the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund, Chalice assisted with the construction of 40 new homes designed to withstand adverse weather conditions. This housing project has been a great success, providing an opportunity for the community to come together and work as a team in construction of safe new shelters for their families.
The fundraising requirements for the currently approved Haiti Housing Program as well as the Latrines Program for Haiti South have been met. Friends of Haiti has played a huge part in helping to fund these initiatives and we are very pleased to see the construction of these much needed homes and latrines that are enhancing the lives of the people of Haiti South.
You can make a donation to Friends Of Haiti personally or corporately. If you have a large group of 8 or more people (employees of a company, church groups, family members or friends etc.), Allan can develop and show your group a personalized slide presentation with pictures and videos to explain where your donations could be used. Contact us to discuss this in more detail.
